Our last day in New York was quite an adventure. We took the train into Manhattan with all of our stuff and plans to explore the city one last time before we headed home. We started the day by looking for a brunch place called The Butcher’s Daughter. However after we spotted the cafe, we found out that there was a 30 minute wait. We decided to walk around and come back when the breakfast rush was over, but after we had walked at least 15 minutes from the cafe it started to rain. I have to say we were fortunate enough that the first day of heavy rain was the day we were leaving. New York was still stunning in the rain though. Then, we found an oning and waited under it with our suit cases and backpacks while we got a lyft. We rode to the Butcher’s Daughter for a yummy breakfast. Then it was time to start making our way to the airport. On our way to the nearest subway station we found this beautiful pocket park. By the time we made it to the subway station we were completely drenched. As if the day couldn’t become anymore of an adventure, then we got lost. Fortunately, with the help of the friendly new yorkers on the subway we made it to the airport at last and headed back to California. This was one of the most amazing trips! I am so grateful to my parents for the opportunity to see this incredible city!
